We've collaborated closely with the Ford team to create a comprehensive set of rules that draw from historical best practices in both air and road records. RecordSetter has provided a Garmin GPS unit that communicates Lexie's position back to our headquarters via satellite uplink. Additionally, we'll conduct spot checks at various points along the route for in-person verification, ensuring the journey meets our stringent certification criteria. Due to border-crossing logistics and in consideration of the complication of transporting vehicles around the world, we will permit the Ford team to utilise more than one Ford Explorer, as long they are of the same model and are full and unmodified EVs, as Lexie attempts to become the first person to circumnavigate the globe in an Electric Vehicle. If successful, Lexie would be the record holder as the driver of an EV.

The map uses highly precise internal GPS data provided by a Garmin unit to track Lexie's position. However, for safety reasons, we've limited the zoom functionality, slightly randomized the coordinates displayed on the map and implemented a five day delay of Lexie's location.

This record-setting attempt aligns with our mission to inspire people to redefine their potential. It sets new benchmarks in sustainability and adventure, themes that resonate strongly with our community.
